Michigan Alliance for Lead Safe Homes
MIALSH is made up of physicians, nurses, housing professionals, young leaders, and, most crucially, everyday Michigan advocates, some of whom have their beloved family members become poisoned by lead in their own homes.
Detroit Lead Parent Advocacy Group
About 50% of children in the City of Detroit have elevated blood lead levels leading to lead poisoning. De-Lead Education and Advocacy in Detroit (D-LEAD) is a parent group advocating for lead-safe homes and universal lead testing in kids. D-LEAD is convened and sponsored by the Center for Urban Studies at Wayne State University.
